Buying Guide: Key Purchase Considerations
What surface will you apply it to? Small assets benefit from 1.12″ x 2.25″ decals, while vehicles and larger devices benefit from 3.5″ or 5″ options. Look for outdoor-grade vinyl (Oracal 651) or eco-solvent inks for durability in sun, rain, and washing conditions.
How visible should the branding be? If you want a bold statement, choose larger decals (5″ or 6.25″). For discreet branding, compact tags are preferable. Consider color contrast with the background surface to ensure readability.
What level of durability is required? Outdoor-use decals with laminated finishes resist fading and moisture. If you’ll be washing gear or exposing it to UV light, prioritize UV protection and scratch resistance.
How easy is application? Most decals are designed for smooth surfaces like car windows, laptops, and water bottles. Some sizes may require careful alignment or extra smoothing to avoid air bubbles. If you’re new to decals, start with smaller sizes on flat surfaces.
Color availability and customization. Some products offer multiple color options, while others are single-color tags. Check the listing for the exact color choices and whether the color will contrast well on your intended background.
