If you are searching for an 8-inch pickup truck toy, the SASBSC 6×6 is the closest listed match: its stated length is 8.46 inches. For other options, the Motormax Apache is a larger-scale classic display model, while KiNSMART and ERTL offer smaller die-cast trucks. The TOMY Chevy set is best for active play, but it is much larger than 8 inches. Compare the listed dimensions and features below, since several products do not provide an exact truck length.

SASBSC 6×6 Pickup Truck
Best for: Buyers who want a toy closest to an 8-inch pickup truck. The listed dimensions are 8.46 by 3.43 by 3.66 inches, making this the clearest size match in the selection.
The truck is described as a 6×6 off-road pickup with a metal body, detailed exterior and interior, and smooth edges. The product listing also mentions three colors: yellow, black, and white. It is presented for children ages 3 and up, as well as for collecting or display.
Why it was selected: It is the only listed product with a stated length near 8 inches. Limitation: The supplied details give conflicting scale information—1:24 in the name and 1:22 in the features—so use the actual dimensions rather than scale to judge its size.
Motormax 1958 Chevy Apache
Best for: Collectors looking for a classic American pickup design in a larger 1:24-scale model. The Motormax model represents a light-blue 1958 Chevy Apache Fleetside.
This die-cast model is listed at 1:24 scale. The supplied package information gives a box width of 11 inches and box height of 6 inches, but does not state the model’s exact length. Those package measurements should not be mistaken for the truck’s dimensions.
Why it was selected: Its 1:24 scale makes it a potentially relevant choice for shoppers comparing larger model pickups, and its vintage styling distinguishes it from modern trucks. Limitation: Confirm the model’s actual length if an exact 8-inch fit is essential; the listed box dimensions do not establish it.
KiNSMART 2019 Dodge Ram 1500
Best for: Shoppers who prefer a modern Ram pickup and want a compact die-cast model. The listed truck is approximately 5 inches long, so it is smaller than an 8-inch target.
KiNSMART describes this as a 1:46-scale model with a die-cast metal body and plastic components. Its features include realistic wheels and body styling based on the 2019 Ram 1500. The product title identifies the color as white, although one feature description refers to a black exterior.
Why it was selected: It offers a modern pickup alternative with an explicitly stated length for easy size comparison. Limitation: Choose another option if you need a truck close to 8 inches; this model is listed at about 5 inches.
ERTL Dodge Pickup Truck Set
Best for: Buyers seeking a small-scale Dodge truck set for play or a collection built around 1:64-scale accessories. ERTL lists die-cast and plastic construction and says the vehicles work with other 1:64-scale accessories.
The feature information emphasizes detail and compatibility with accessories in the same scale. It does not provide the truck’s exact length or a count of the vehicles in the set, so check the product listing for those specifics before buying.
Why it was selected: It gives shoppers a smaller-scale alternative to the larger 8-inch-style models. Limitation: The 1:64 scale is much smaller than typical 1:24-scale models, and the listing does not confirm an 8-inch length.
TOMY Big Farm Chevy Pickup
Best for: Children who want an interactive truck-and-trailer set rather than a compact 8-inch model. The product is described as a 1:16-scale Chevy pickup set that measures over 33 inches long with its trailer.
Features include lights and sounds, an opening tailgate, and ramps that raise and lower for loading the included hay bales. Batteries are included, and the listing describes the set for indoor or outdoor play and ages 3 years and up.
Why it was selected: Its working play features and included trailer make it a useful comparison for buyers who prioritize play value over compact size. Limitation: The complete set is far larger than 8 inches, so avoid it if storage space or a small model is the priority.
Buying Guide: How To Choose An 8-Inch Pickup Truck
Should you prioritize exact length or scale?
Start with the product’s stated dimensions if the truck must fit a shelf, storage bin, or play area. Scale describes a model’s proportion to a full-size vehicle, but it does not by itself confirm the truck’s exact length. Among these options, the SASBSC listing provides a length closest to 8 inches. The other listed models either give a different length or omit the truck’s dimensions.
Is the truck for play or display?
For interactive play, look for functional details such as the TOMY set’s lights, sounds, opening tailgate, and loading ramps. For a display model, consider the Motormax Apache’s 1:24 scale and classic styling. The KiNSMART Ram offers a smaller modern-truck option with a stated length of about 5 inches.
What materials and accessories matter?
Die-cast metal construction is listed for the SASBSC, KiNSMART, and ERTL products, while some models also include plastic components. If you plan to combine a truck with accessories, check the scale: ERTL specifically identifies compatibility with other 1:64-scale accessories. For a set with included play pieces, the TOMY package lists a trailer and hay bales.
What should you verify before ordering?
Check the exact dimensions, scale, color, and included pieces in the current product listing. This is especially important when dimensions are missing or details differ between a title and feature description. For the Motormax model, box size is provided but truck length is not. For the SASBSC truck, the stated scale differs between the product name and feature text.
